My mother in law baby sat last week, allowing me to see a charming Italian film called Pranzo di Ferragosto (loosely translated, a mid August lunch). This eased the return back from the blues skies in Gubbio to the grey of London. The film features a man who is ultimately driven to drink as a result of looking after a group of old ladies well into their retirement. What can this story mean?
