I spent some time with an Italian tailor over weekend. During a fitting, I mentioned that I am still, give or take a few pounds depending on the season, the same weight as when I was married now nine years ago. "Me, a little pancetta," he said, patting his tummy. "Pancetta", which is Italian for pork belly, seems a much, much kinder word than some used to describe the male frame's evolution.
